I just replaced all my fans with 80mm L1A's. Now I know why they are your reference fans here at SPCR. I love them. They are quiet and the sound they do make is a pleasing medium pitched hum with no bearing noise or whine.
I was using NMB .1A, 22dB, 25cfm fans. The bearing noise from them was driving me crazy.
Thanks for the information posted here at the forums and in the rest of the site. Now that I have decoupled my hard drive, put a passive duct from my side panel to cpu, and replaced my fans with L1A's, I am satisfied with the sound and temps of my overclocked system.

Specs:
A7N8X-Deluxe
2100+ @2300MHz, 200fsb
2 x 256MB HyperX pc3500
Ti4600 w/large cpu heatsink and L1A
Fortron 350W
SLK-800 w/L1A
