Zalman CNPS6000-Cu replacement Fan....

Post by Zilla » Sun Apr 20, 2003 2:55 am

Hi, im currently using a Zalman CNPS6000-Cu, however, recently the fan has started developing a chafing kinda noise (like the baring are wearing out)... so i need to get a new fan.

What would be the best replacement for me to get? Currently, im think of picking up a paspt 120mm 4412FGL, or panaflo 120mm. From reading the board, most people seem to say the paspt is better, and concidering the paspt is acually cheaper for me to get, im leaning towards the paspt fan. Should a concider another size fan? or different 120mm fan?

thanks

the 4412FGL is a good choice, I was using this exact same setup for a long time,

but if you can get the faster 4412FGM you can still use the zalman FanMate

I should have added that im not looking for performance, just silence.

Rod M, you would recommend the 4412FGM + fan mate, over the 4412FGL + Fanmate?

btw, what are you using now?

Yes I would recommend that,

I have never had any problems with the 4412FGM and fanmate at lowest setting and startup, the papst fans are very good starting up at low voltage,
