Need 60 mm recommendation

Post by willdo » Thu May 01, 2003 3:57 pm

I have to buy a couple of 60 mm fans for my case, (I know - 60 mm aren't optimum to begin with, but I like my case).

From what I've read, it looks like the Sunon KD1206PTB1 is quite quiet - more quiet than a same size Panaflo. I wanted to get opinions on this fan vs. a Panaflo FBA06A12L1A.

Thanks.

I'm using a DIGN case. Looks like this one: http://www.yourstores.co.uk/quiet%20pc/dign4be.htm

I found this site pretty entertaining. Does it seem accurate?

I'ld be tempted to try the Papst
612NGL 12.4cfm 16dB(A)
612NGML 14.7cfm 19dB(A)

I got a 612NGM (20.6cfm) - at 7V it is reasonable, at least for a 60mm fan
ps - normally XP plc have them but they seem to be out of stock at the moment.
And whatever you get, make your you grommit (or some other way soft) mount and seal the gaps caused by the grommits to prevent backflow.
