Question on Enermax rheobus

Both of my 120mm L1A's start just fine at 5V. I've never tried them on the 3.3V line but if I get some time I just might. My Enermax rheobus only goes down to 5V, no lower.

I've read conflicting reports on the Enermax rheobus. Some say it will only go down to 1000rpm, while others say that it will run a L1A just fine at 5 volts. Which is it? Doesn't the L1A run at a lot less than 1000rpm at 5 volts?

Or are different Enermax rheobus models capable of different things?
