This product seems very exciting since my mo-bo only had ONE fan-header. The question is: does the product split the current or the voltage or neither of these?

And what are the practical consequences of this product?

Thanks in advance.

Your question is a bit weird. That adapter allows for two fans to be connected to a single fan header. The same voltage will be fed to the fans. Current depends on the fan. Practical things to consider:
- You probably don't want to have the adapter connected unless you really connect two fans to it since the pins are unprotected and could cause a short.
- You will only be able to monitor the RPM of one of the fans. Notice that only one fan gets the yellow wire. Not really a concern.
- Make sure that the two fans you use don't overload the fan header. Usually only a concern if you use very powerful fans.
