Help Finding 120mm Fan

Post by DKDK » Mon Aug 13, 2012 5:00 pm

Hello,

I am looking for help to find a fan in 120mm size for a NAS I have as the original fan has died.
The fan will have to deal with a high level of static pressure as it is right up against the hard drives, pulling air across the HDD's through the enclosure.
This forum is about silence, but I'm happy to have a little noise for more cooling.
No option for PWM and I don't have room in the NAS for a Molex or voltage reducer.

Which of these would be recommended;
http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=prod ... =12&lng=en ($26 US)
http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/fa ... 20-mm.html (1850rpm Model, $22 US)
http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/case- ... tic-f.html ($9 US)

Thanks from Denmark for any help.

If it is for a NAS you should pick the Scythe gentle typhoon 800rpm if you cant get the Nexus for cheap. The Nexus real silent are usually cheap in Sweden at least. Sinc you are looking at EU shops i believe the nexus would be cheap there as well.

The reason i wouldn't recommend Noctua is because they arent better then the GT or the Nexus but still more expensive. Good luck.
