Hi! I'm looking to replace the stock fans in a new build (Lian Li PC-9F)
I understand just the very basics of under-volting, fan controllers, etc...so I certainly could use some guidance.
The case comes with 2 120mm fans as intake (lower front) and 1 120mm fan as exhaust (upper rear). I don't know what the CFM is but I do know that they are 900 RPM. I'm looking to replace them with high(est) quality fans that can push a little more air when the system is under load but can also be throttled back when the system is running cool. I'd like to be able to bump them up to 1200 or 1500 RPM. I also want to maintain a positive air pressure scenario to limit dust build up.
So, I'm looking for a quality fan controller and quality fans that would accomplish what I'm trying to achieve. I'm hoping I don't have to change anything in the BIOS, but if that is necessary, I'm sure I can figure it out.
I'm using the ASUS P8Z68-V Pro mobo.
