Question about particular fan/control combination

Post by d3v » Thu Mar 15, 2012 1:11 pm

Hi all,

I've got two Thermalright TY-140 fans that use 4 pin cables and want to link them up to a Zalman ZM-MFC1 fan controller but this controller only takes 3 pin fan cables, so my question is what can I do to be able to fit these 4 pin fans to my fan controller?

You can plug a 4 pin fan into a 3 pin socket by using a sharp knife to remove the plastic on one side of the socket. Or, if you do not want to do this, you can buy a cable like this http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-TX3- ... 269&sr=8-2
