Nexus Fan Installation Question

Post by hnnstyle » Tue Dec 11, 2012 3:19 pm

I just purchased two Nexus Real Silent Case fans. I want to put one on my CPU and was wondering, if I need to install both the 3-pin motherboard connector and the 4-pin power connector, or will the fan work just fine using only the 3-pin motherboard connector?

You only use one of the connectors. One time I connected both by accident, and when I turned on the PC for a few seconds, it had melted the wiring. At least there was no damage to the other components.
