quiet pwm fans for nh-d14

Hi, i recently bought a noctua nh-d14 but unfortunately my mainboard can control only 4 pin fans. I'm using the ulna adaptor but still the noctua fans at constant rpm are too loud (and the air flow too much in idle!!) so i've decided to repleace them with two 120mm or a 120 and a 140mm pwm fans, both on the cpufan header by an y switch.
The question is whitch fans do i have to buy? I'd like the replacing fans to be at least equal to the noctua in perfomance, possibly even better.

I've done a little search and found these fans:
gentle typhoons (a bit too expensive)
akasa apache (120 e 140mm)
akasa viper (120 e 140mm)
wing boost (120 e 140mm)

Do these fans meet my requirements? Which one is better? Any other suggestion?
Thanks a lot!!

If you can fit 120 mm fans, I would definitely recommend http://scythe-usa.com/product/acc/076/s ... etail.html. I don't know about the Kazemaru 2s that are 140 mm.

I have one on the cooler and the original Noctua fans as case fans. Idle/load: 35 °C @ 300 RPM (case 600 RPM) / 44 °C @ 600 RPM (case 800 RPM). Load is folding with 100% CPU use. Very gentle load, near-silent idle.

Please include your CPU info so we know what sort of heat ouput you've got to handle.

first of all thanks for the answer!
I've seen those but i also found the kama flex which, according on what i've read, are the newer version; The minimun rpm are 300 instead of 200, but the performance seems to be better. What do you think about those?

I've a i5 3570k and i'm a bit concerned about the temperature too: around 36°C idle and 62 max after 20 cicles of ibt set to maximum. I think idle temperature is too hot, am i wrong? I've already replace the thermal compound but nothing changed. I've never had the two fans spinning at 1300rpm, i always used ulna. Now i managed to keep the fans at 500 rpm in idle and spinning up with the temperature, and they are not noisy at all, but i'd like to replace them anyway so the motherbord can controll them and not speedfan

I can't see how the Kama could be better is all I can say, the SS has matched the Noctua fans and keeps my cooler and CPU cool effortlessly. I've never used a Kama myself. I would only have doubts about the middle position on the heatsink, as it is very restricted both on the intake and output sides and no doubt gets hot for the fan. I would probably prefer to get ball bearings there, in fact - the Gentle Typhoons should do well (read SPCR reviews and compare).

Idle is fine, typical even, especially if you run low RPM. Getting under is 30 tough without very cool ambient, and even then it's not really any more beneficial than under 40. 62 °C in torture test is pretty high, though, considering the CPU has its Tcase at 67 °C. It's not alarming, but I would raise RPM and make sure airflow is going, just to be safe. Then again it's torture testing, and if you don't usually stress the CPU or overclock it, it might as well be fine.

Because according to a review i've found they have almost twice the air pressure of the slip stream and if i'm not wrong is the most important value in a cooler's fan. I don't have any of those so i'm just saying what i read on the internet.

Reliable source tho'? There is also such a concept as "adequate".

I believe so, i've always found reliable so far. Those values are by datasheet or users, either way they're hopefully true. According to the review it's seems the kama flex are the evolution of the slip stream so i believe it should be a bit better.
I don't get the last parte of your reply
