Quiet Sony Vaio EB series fan replacement?

A friend's Sony Vaio VPC EB series fan is generating that extremely annoying whine even after having been cleaned, so I need to find a reliable and quiet replacement for it.
The original fan has the following designation:
Panasonic UDQFRZH14CF0, DC 5 V, 0.3 A, 3 pin
I found a number of compatible replacements on Ebay that cost anywhere from $5 to $35. Most of them seem to come with a 90 day warranty, while those in the $20+ range come with a 1 or even 2 year warranty. Which of the compatible replacements would you recommend?
