Extreme Makeover

Post by sp_1000 » Mon Jun 28, 2004 9:46 pm

Few month ago I replaced my old box with a shining monster powered by XEON. Since the old computer was in a relatively good shape, I've decided to give it a little facelift and move it to my living room...

Hey! That's the same cheap-o case that I have!

I like your front mod, looks very professional.

It's a good box nevertheless.

I had no special tools and spent some time making all the halls, but I am very happy with the result. Thanks for the comment! :D

Did you add the holes at the front of your case yourself?

ONEshot, is that what you meant by it looking very professional?

Yes I did.
I made (rounded) halls in the front panel to ease airflow for 120x120x38 mm fan.
I also widened the opening for the same fan from 80 to 120 mm.
Completely opened original halls for two back fans (case and PSU). And made about 20-30 extra halls in the bottom wall of PSU.
