The connector on a Panaflo that sells for 2-3 dollars will be a 2 pin Molex KK style. These connectors are like those that are on a motherboard, but they have 2 pins instead of 3. You can clip off one of the polarity labs and a 2 pin will fit on a 3 pin.
The $2 Panaflo phenomenon is as a result of a massive amount of surplus inventory that was dumped on the California market. Some giant manufacturer special ordered these fans from Panasonic with this 2 pin connector and then probably cancelled the production run that they were purchased for. Then they liquidated them for pennies on the dollar through the surplus parts dealers.
The major Panasonic distributors buy Panaflo fans from the factory for about $4 a piece purchased in case qty(100 pieces). Then they double that cost to sell them to retailers or small run manufacturers. So you can see that the opportunity to buy a Panaflo for $2 will not extend indefinitely and you should definitely take advantage of it. Please send all the Panaflo fans to Europe that you can afford so that the surplus inventory will dry up and people can go pack to buying them for $16.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Hey, if it's not too late, make it 5! May as well splash out!Jolt wrote:4 fans for Oz is that right?
Exactly! The shipping will be split 4 ways (or however many people there are), and then divide that by the number of fans! It'll be cheap anyway!Jolt wrote:And with so many fans the shipping will be just over $1/fan anyway, not that bad.
Get cracking!
Cheers,
Oz

2850 vs 2100, got it from here.
As for the fanmate, it'll just lower the noise, the RPM, but unfortunately also the Airflow!

Guess what? My fans arrived today, (thanx Jolt and Oz!) but the funny thing is , ive just decided to go to California in about a month, could have picked em up myself I suppose 60 would have been a pretty big box tho
But anyway, yeah since im in America does anyone want anything from the states? Would have to be fairly small tho
