Those dual Xeons surely kick ass. This is VikingDude's point overview of the last seven days.
Note that the points on 09.22.04 are for the first 9 hours only.

Code: Select all

   Day Points WUs
09.22.04 995 5
09.21.04 836 5
09.20.04 229 4
09.19.04 352 4
09.18.04 128 3
09.17.04 167 7
09.16.04 118 4
P.S. This does not mean I am not happy with people who contribute less 8)

There are only 4 Xeon boxes but according to LogStats, each one does about 300PPD when fed with 130X series Gromacs.

Woo-hoo.

Welcome to SPCR's Folding@Home

Hello everyone, this is my first post here. :)

I switched from team overclockers.com because I think I'm done with the overclocking and now I want to get my pc quiet enough to be left running 24/7.... I only have one room in my aprtment and trying to sleep right next to this jet engine is - well - you know what.

So here comes my PIV 2.4 @ 3GHz. Not much but better than nothing I guess.

I'm gonna start silencing it next week. Wish me luck :D

Vihta

PS. Any other Finns here?

and Welcome to Team SPCR !! 8) 8)

Your firepower will add to our might, amount is no shame here, (look at John_Hooker....
... still ... what do you expect from a ... 'salesman' :P ( .......... and ex(?) friend :? . )
Contributing is the aim and that's what we are all doing.

However ... some of us do it without going deaf

There's plenty of topics and threads round here to enable you to get that beast under (noise) control. :D

Welcome from us all ... and we hope your hearing returns soon....

Regards

Djee, thanks for the welcome...
I'm not going to be the most productive member, but anything is better than nothing ain't it? My goal is to finish about 1 WU a week. My system can't handle much more and since it sounds much like a jet there's no question of leaving it on at night. Quieting it down is on my to do list, but one needs funds for that so it's taking more time than I'd like :(

I've always enjoyed spcr and had great use of it in the past so I figured I could contribute. I'll try getting F@H installed on as many computers as I can get my hands on.

Don't get your hands on too many computers... I already have trouble keeping up with you because I can't run my single system 24/7. Yet.

Hehe :) Well I've silenced my computer with some help from this site so it's on 24/7. I added six more computers today that I think will be on 24/7, atleast some of them. They are 2.4 GHz celerons so I don't think they will be the fastest ones but it's something :D

couple of WUs done - wish I could offer more firepower. Got components for a full 2nd system - will give to good old mom for free as long as she agrees to fold 24/7 :)

Got an extra stick of 512MB to run in dual channel cos folding 2 instances was slowing down my system... see the dedication!
