Hi All

My current system:
P4 1.6GHz, active cooling with Arctic Cooling Super Silent 4
ATI Radeon 8600Pro, passive cooling with Zalman ZM80C-HP
MB Asus P4S333
DVD RW
2 HD, both in passive Zalman ZM-2HC2 cooler.
PSU - NorthQ NQ-4001, 400W, One 120 mm fan

Temperatures in the system (ambient temperature ~22C) is:
Idle: CPU - 40, MB - 28, HD1 - 46, HD2 - 42
Load: CPU - 45, MB - 33, HD1 - 48, HD2 - 48

My plans are to by the Scythe NCU-1000/2000 passive CPU-cooling and a new fanless PSU (Antec Phantom or Silverstone ST30NF).

Doing this my system will have no fans and the heat may become a problem.

I have done some mesurements on the AC side and have found that the system drains at most 0,63A@220V=140W. The NQ-4001 have a specified efficiency of 55%@30W to 65%@400W. Calculating with 60% this give a heat loss of 56W.
Both PSU:s I'm planning for have an efficency of ~78% wich would give something like 31W of heat instead of 56W I have today.

Are the caluclations correct?
Are the calculations relevant?
Can you draw any conclusions from this?

I think heat will become a problem. Perhaps a Nexus exhaust fan on a fanmate would be enough to resolve it, however, without excessive noise.
