GA Sinxp 1394 northbridge fan

Post by Boomerang Rapido » Thu Apr 03, 2003 8:22 am

While every fan in my system is making a nice quiet "shhhhh" sound, the fan on my gigabyte sinxp 1394 northbridge chipset is making a "brrrrrrr" sound. It's not very loud, but loud enough that it catches my attention.

Has anybody tried running this thing without a fan? I did it on my old A7V133.... would it be safe to do the same on this board?

Alternatively I'd probably go with the zalman northbridge heatsink instead.

Zalman always has that NB Heatsink replacement. I think those are only a few bucks :D
