Help finding a good desktop case?

Post by Veydajar » Thu Mar 20, 2003 10:27 pm

The requirements are:

Motherboard factor: Full ATX,
Case type: DESKTOP,
Drive bays: 1x5.25", 1x3.5" external, 1x5.25" internal are a must (2x5.25" ext + 2x3.5" ext + 1x5.25" int very welcome),

Preferably W/O the PSU.

The case has to be stylish and not blocky like most of the cases are.
Here is an example of what is close to the requirements (but alas, it's too costy. altho, I might buy it): http://www.quietpc.com/uk/cases.php#htpc. It is still blocky, but doesn't look retarded. This one has okay specs, but looks kinda cheap and non-stylish. Close tho http://www.aopen.com/products/housing/hq95.htm

Thanks in advance.

BRegards,
Vey.

www.newegg.com says that the antec fussion that mike linked will be available tomorrow (eta 3/22/2003). It is currently priced at $109.99+$18.00 shipping. Also there are some coolmaster cases that have external cdbays that can be taken out and flipped so that the case can be used as either a tower or desktop.

Well, actually I ment a more standard type of case...
Roughly speaking, the same biege box, but with a fancy front :)

The home-theater case is there just as an example of style.

Oh. Another requirement I have for the case:

One 120mm fan opening in the back

*chuckle* I'm planning for a duct to the CPU heatsink.
