Anyone had any experience with Samsung's new drives, and how they compare to Barracudas? Seem quite good judging by the various reviews...

Many people in the Tivo forums narrowed it down to the Samsungs and Seagate's for quietness. A lot of people (including myself) are running the Tivo's without the cover (for cooling) so it is important to get it as quiet as possible in the livingroom area.
Although I just put a Seagate Cuda IV in mine, I'm looking forward to the review and will also let the peeps in the tivo forum know too.

What is the new Samsung 160 Gb drive?
Samsung's own web site is not very up-to-date as it only lists max 80 Gb drives:
http://www.samsung.com/Products/HardDiskDrive/index.htm
Also, according to the Storage Review site acoustic tests (not very thorough, I admit) the Samsung P40 series is even louder than Barracuda V series:

Is this new mystery 160 Gb disk part of the SpinPoint V series (5400 rpm)?
regards,
Halcyon
