It would be much easier for us to understand - by posting pictures.
Just set a limit of 100k.

Good point, but I was thinking of pictures of my computer (and others)
For people to understand how my system works, pictures would describe it better than me writing. (may be due to my english  )

I don't have my pictures on a website.

Also creating a temporary host at lycos or something, would work for now.. but in 1-2months that closes. And people using the search tools would get up pictures like:

..annoying. :?

Most ISP's include some sort of file hosting space for their users, or there are a slew of free online sites that do jsut that. Just google for "free image hosting".

Hosting user images on our server directly, which I think is what you're talking about, would become a serious chore, for several reasons, (space costs, bandwidth costs, security, etc, etc), and really isn't necessary given the plethora of image hosting options available now.

For free image hosting ...

www.imgspot.com

or... at a push, due to lower resolution/file size :

www.photobucket.com

Biggest thing is though, ... keep image sizes DOWN !!!.

Not everyone is blessed with 512/1M/2M/Larger connections. :D

Second that. Large images are a serious problem to 56k and under connections.

Is there by any chance.. a webpage that can reduce the image size&quality at a push of a button ?
