I am building a quiet PC. I was told that the Sonata is good. I like the Sonata II's air duct design, but I also heard that with more PS, the 430W can be louder as well.

They are relatively similiar price, I would like to know which one is better?

Sonata II, just don't plug the fan monitor cable from the PSU to the motherboard or the PSU will run full blast all the time.

Hello,

The Sonata is an okay case, but there are several others that are quite a bit better for building quieter and cooler running PC's. The Antec SLK-3000B is one to consider, and others from the SPCR recommended list, like the Evercase 4252.

Depending on your budget, there are others, too -- but those two are my "benchmark" cases, and they are both quite reasonably priced. I would choose a SeaSonic S12-330, 380, or 430 and you would come out way ahead of either Sonata.

I went to a local store to check out the cases. I have to say I am impress with the look of Sonata. It was hard to tell from the pictures online. It's elegant, and not flashy. The only complain I have is the blue light around front usb, but i guess i can always unplug it.
