Hello there.
Not long after buying a new card. And it seems to be overheating a bit.
Up to about inbetween 62 C/68 C.I take it thats considered high ? Thats playing a game though, normal, its around 50 ish.
Anyway 1 or 2 two of my games have crashed since getting the card. The system freezes and i have to power it off.
So this led me to buy an accelero x1. Id been readin in the reviews everywhere about how quick and easy it was to install. So i was pretty confident id manage.
After a while i was convinced this wasnt going to fit my card. When i treid to line up the four holes which surround the GPU and the ones on the cooler. It wasnt goin to fit. Ive phoned up the place where i got it and the technicians goin to get back to me... ... . .. .......
However i seen on this site a post from someone whos card had died on them, and was thinkin of getting a new card. One of his options was the card i have. Xpertvision 6800Gs super 512 AGP. Someone had replied with this in there post.....
''GeForce 6800GS
This would easily be the best bet for me I think with it's reasonable performance but still low price tag of AUD $300 (USD $230). However, the only one I can get at that price is the XpertVision one, which I hear has an HSI AGP-PCI-E bridge chip, so that an NV Silencer 5 definitely won't fit. Does anyone know if the upcoming Accelero S1 or S2 might fit the 6800GS? If yes then I think I'll pick up one of these cards. ''
Does anyone know for definete if this is why i cant get the accelero x1 to fit, because of this HSI bridge chip ???
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.
