SPCR merchandise.
Is there such a thing?
I'm thinking stuff like case badges/stickers and the like....

you forgot "and one to bitch about how dishonest the wattage rating was anyway".mathias wrote:A2: If it's buzzing, just one. If it isn't, who knows?jaganath wrote:Q. How many SPCRer's does it take to change a light bulb?
A3: 3. One to change it, one to one to make a big deal of the environmental implications and one to make a big deal about "visual loudness".
If an SPCRer falls over in the forest and there is no-one to hear them, do they still make a sound?

I don't think thermaltake makes any lightbulbs. Bashing incandescent and flourescent and instead recomending LED's is already included under environmental implications. but I did forgot one thing: one to undervolt it.qviri wrote:Don't forget the one to bash Thermaltake and recommend a Ninja.
Now, how many overclockers does it take to change a lightbulb? At the very least: one to change it, one to overvolt it, one to aim a few delta fans at it, one to put an ineffective fingerguard over it and one to benchmark it.

Inspiration
This is the page that inspired me to ask the original question. My personal fave is the stubby holder
Disclosure: I have no capability to produce/finance SPCR merchandise but just wondered if any already existed and made it a pollto see if there was enough interest here to justify someone in the US trying to produce something.
I like the look of the EndPCNoise.com SPCR case badge a lot. Is it available separately?

Oh don't mind us, after all we pay so much tax we won't even notice the shipping costs...Firetech wrote:... made it a pollto see if there was enough interest here to justify someone in the US trying to produce something...

I would like just a black cloth visor with the blue SPCR logo in the middle. You know, those kinds that normally tennis people wear?
Example: The hat on the LEFT

That kind of visor is what I'd like. Heck, even a regular hat would be awesome.

ROFLMAO, I'd by a t-shirt with that (as long as it's reasonably priced - nothing personal, I just hate arm-twisting).
One other thing I would have liked to see is SPCR badge like the one used on black spcr edition of P180 case. I would have liked to stick one on the bottom left side of my case or perhaps to the left/right top side of my monitor. Just don't make it too thick, perhaps no more than 4mm.
Re: Inspiration
I can easily see people taking the stubby holder and creating silencing or damping parts with it instead of using it for drinks.Firetech wrote:This is the page that inspired me to ask the original question. My personal fave is the stubby holder
I kind of like the merchandising idea, although I'm sure it would be a big undertaking and it's hard to tell how profitable it would be. Also it would require Mike to either run a store or at least set up some space with a 3rd party.
I'm not sure if the SPCR case badge would be something they'd sell... it might run counter to the exclusivity of the SPCR P180 when anyone can just slap a badge on any case.
I'd like an SPCR stubby holder, an SPCR cup/mug/glass and an SPCR badge of course. Also perhaps, pens, rubbers and such things? Maybe an SPCR fan grill (that is very quiet and unlike most grills)? Maybe even SPCR fan shrouds? However, now we're approaching real professional products instead of mere merchandise.
I just hope shipping won't be sky-high for us Swedes/Europeans.

Re: Inspiration
It wouldn't have to be a replica of the SPCR P180 badge, maybe just the small square type that fits on most Antec boxes?BrianE wrote:I'm not sure if the SPCR case badge would be something they'd sell... it might run counter to the exclusivity of the SPCR P180 when anyone can just slap a badge on any case.
Anyway, I suppose my original question has now been answered. There is a small market for SPCR merchandise but there isn't any available
Re: Inspiration
Good idea. P180 SPCR exclusivity remains while people still get their SPCR badge. Everyone's happy.Firetech wrote:maybe just the small square type that fits on most Antec boxes?
Yeah... so it seems. That's too bad tbh. Maybe an official statement from Mike? Anyway... the Poll's locked or something because I can't vote "Yes".Anyway, I suppose my original question has now been answered. There is a small market for SPCR merchandise but there isn't any available

Correct. Sorry but when I set it up I only expected this to run a week or so and selected a mid time range for the pollkrille wrote: Anyway... the Poll's locked or something because I can't vote "Yes".

I think I fixed it. It should be active for eternity now. Vote away.Firetech wrote:Correct. Sorry but when I set it up I only expected this to run a week or so and selected a mid time range for the pollkrille wrote: Anyway... the Poll's locked or something because I can't vote "Yes".
