By now, everyone who has an AMD A64 CPU should be aware that individual TDP info is embedded in recent "E" stepping processors. This is a poll to get an idea of the range of TDPs in A64 single-core processors. (pre-"E" stepping processors are not included in this poll.)

Use AMD64 TCaseMax v1.18 to obtain the info about your A64 processor. Please use the format below to report your info. Periodically, all the results from this list will be compiled and summarized in edits of this post.

There are several A64 "E" stepping processors at SPCR right now:

3000+, 939, Venice, Rev JH8-E3, 57°C, 44.1W

MikeC, how about asking posters to include stable undervolt info? Although it does depend on many factors, probably not as variable as overclocking, and might give us a rough idea if TDP has any relation on how well a chip undervolts?

1.00v CrystalCPUID setting, 1.072v CPUz reading, stock speed, Prime95 stable 48h+ on ASUS A8NVM-CSM.

Wow, that is approaching mobile CPU territory. Highly impressive for a desktop chip.

Did you lower its multiplier? I thought 3000+ got multiplier 9.
Lowering multiplier doesn't change the reported TDP, does it?

There isn't any E4 3000+ as far as I recall (http://www.amdcompare.com), and no where did Storm report that. :)

Apparently different multiplier gives different TDP.
Storm's 3000+ (DH8-E6) and msm_zgok's 3000 (DH8-E6) show different TDPs...

I run it overclocked to 2.4ghz (havent tried higher). I ran some test for undervolting and at this overclock it is 1 hour Prime Large FFT stable with only 1.225v. not bad i wonder how high it could overclock

Another E6 3000+:

It appears the worst case scenario for E6 3000+ is 38.2W.

Another Venice 3000+ (939, E6) result. Everything's stock:

It seems even the same models have different TDPs. msm_zgok reported above different TDP with seemingly the same processor as mine... :?

Sorry for not replying I was busy doing the stuff documented in this thread.

Anyway, I bought this CPU from ebay and it is now in my Zalman TNN 300. Heres a screen dump of the TCaseMax

When I copied the information the CPU was in Cool'n'Quiet mode.

The Vcore is running at 1.14v

Hot running, can do over 3 GHz.

How to find out the thermal profile:
1 - Find the CPU in this document, A64 = page 30, FX = 56, X2 = 91.
2 - The thermal profile is a letter (row 5 if present).
3 - You find the corresponding themal profile on page 10 for A64, FX = 51, X2 = 86.
Opteron here, with the corresponding pages 25, and 10 - 11.

No, mine reports the same both when running at 400 and 3000 MHz.

I was initially annoyed when i got an E3 chip instead of an E6. Can't complain if that TDP is accurate though.
