I'm thinking it's about time to upgrade my old Toshiba machine. It's a Satelllite 5100-503 and only has one fan for the CPU (GPU = GeForce4 440 Go). It's not exactly super quiet but it does only come on when required or when the machine is being heavily pushed. I find it bearable.
Ideally I'd look for something similar, which means avoiding GPU's with fans. Now I'm not sure which notebook GPUs do and don't have them. I guess anything towards the high end these days does but I haven't got any info.
So has anyone got a list or can point me in the right direction? I'd be happy with midrange performance.
