Is it me or is 12W actually not that low? For example the Core Solo ULV1400 (1.2Ghz) has a TDP of 5.5W and would probably outperform the C7.CHIP DEVELOPER VIA has teamed up with Everex Systems to release what they claim is the world's most energy efficient notebook.
The notebook, dubbed the StepNote NC1500, is the first Everex notebook to use the Via C7 -M processor. It comes equipped with a 15-inch widescreen display, built in wireless LAN, a DVD burner and 1.5GHz performance at a considerably low 12W peak power, boasts Everex.
