No cancel button when posting?

Post by scdr » Sat May 12, 2007 11:03 pm

I can't seem to find a button that lets one back out posting a message.
Once one gets to the post message screen there are buttons for
Preview and Submit, but no obvious way to say that I changed my mind and don't want to post this after all.

One can guess that navigating to some other link might cancel the posting
(or pressing the back button). But that is less than obvious for a web beginner. It is also not so convenient, since one may then have to hunt around to find where one was before one hit the post button.
It would be nice to have a Cancel button that would take one back to before one hit post.

Thank you

I'd recommend pressing the back button on your browser.

I don't think I know of any forums with a 'Cancel' button. Just don't press 'Submit'; back away or click on '- Forum Index' or the forum name just above the compose box.

If you find you've inadvertently posted something you regret, there's the 'Edit' button - just wipe the words and leave instead a "Please delete" message for a passing moderator.
