Has anyone heard of this? I downloaded it; it appears to just be a program that lets you set power management features, just like windows does. It also estimates your peak power usage. When you adjust a feature, like how long before you spin down your disks, it tells you how much power you save and how many trees/gallons of oil are saved. I have no idea how it makes these calculations. It also appears that you can form teams?

In the end, this program doesn't seem that useful to me. It is nice, however, to see that people are taking an interest in saving energy.

It's a nice application to spread awareness and make people feel better about their behavior, but unfortunately in my case the numbers didn't add up. According to the application my system + monitor consumed 135 watts. My system + monitor however consume 85 watts at idle and 117 watts during load. That's a lot less trees, I fear.

Yeah, more bloat! I can either manage the power myself or set the settings myself, thank you very much.

I don't think the power management features are that useful, either. Providing a rough estimate of power consumption is the more interesting feature of this product.

I saw the drop in the power bill when I went from 3 machines 24/7 to no machines 24/7, and it was big. :D That thing is too bloaty to have just to see power savings.
