Zalman 80A-HP With Radeon 9500 Pro

Post by safi2003 » Sun Jul 27, 2003 12:13 pm

Hello! While the answer to this question may be in a board elsewhere, I have yet to find it :(
I have a Zalman 80A-HP with my Radeon 9500 Pro Retail. So far so good, with no instability issues. Is there a program out there that monitors my AGP temps? I have an ASUS P4PE motherboard.
Also, if there is a prog, what's a stable idle and load temp for a card like mine?
Any help is much appreciated. Opinions on the Zalman 80A-HP with the Radeon 9x00 cards are welcome as well. Curious to hear what you guys think :)
Thanks!
Take care.

normally you cant take the temps from your gpus (there is no sensor installed) so you need to buy one and put on the heatsink, as close to the core as possible, then you'll know the temps.

9x00 cards with a zm80a-hp should be no problem. Sapphire recently launched a serie called 'ultimate' with the zalman installed (see a different tread on this forum), even the 9800 pro is cooled that way so it should be save to use one on a 9x00 radeon card

I took the temperature of my ZM80A-HP on my Radeon 9500 Pro with a digital thermometer (usually used for checking to see if you have a fever or not) and it maxed the thing out (at 115 degrees F), so I'm sure the heatsink itself is much hotter.

thats why Zalman released a new heatsink for graphic cards with an optional fan (but zalman has had fans before which weren't that quiet i've heard)
