How to silence humans , in the short run : beano's and duct tape.
On a more permanent scale, it seems like a greater task than silencing a computer since people make noises not only of their own volition but also produce noises associated with their activities. In that case duct tape and beano's won't cut it.
It seems that this question ought to offset a whole new silencing category or even a new site or forum.
