Computer Crash: Fastest way to Fold?

Ok, short story: My Raid 0 array is down for the moment. I'm leaving tomorrow for a week. Since this was my fastest F@H machine, what can I do to quickly get any SMP client working? I was planning to let it run 24/7 next week. My only guess would be a 64bit Linux Live CD. But if I download something where would it save it? Could I run the F@H SMP client from a flash drive?

Hmmm, I'd be willing to try that. Will I have to change the backup interval to 0 as there will be no disks to write to? Thanks for the idea.

Any other ideas/thoughts?

Ok, nobody else responded, so I'm going to use the link that KansasKilla provided for me. I'm also going to set the backup interval to 0 since there will be nowhere to backup.

Any reason not to run this on a minimalist machine all the time?

Well I got hold of a computer and the link KK supplied me did not work. I could not get my computer to boot from the disk. I tried both the 64 bit and 32 bit versions. Backup time was zero, user name "angelkiller" and team 31574.

Altering the boot order did not help. It goes Plextor, Asus, CD-ROM, but my computer still says boot disk is missing. I know booting from CD works because I used Memtest right before I tried this.

However I do remember a methood involving a Gentoo minimal live CD but I couldn't find any info in my short time....

I downloaded Ubuntu and burned it to a CD.

Seems to me that you can just run it off the CD full time if you wanted. Perhaps if you used a CDRW disc you can run FAH off of it as well.

Or maybe even a USB device?
