Kill-a-watt for Australia?

Post by dookka » Fri Jun 15, 2007 8:41 am

Has anybody come across a Kill-a-watt type power meter for Australia? I found one online a while back but it was a pre-order and I can't find it again.

Cheers!

Jaycar's got them on their website (jaycar.com.au) search for "mains power meter" - but they're listed as out of stock. I asked in one of their stores, but apparently they're a new product not available yet. Dunno how long it'll be...

Looks like the same model I found last time, on a difference site.
Thanks, I've book marked it this time!

That Jay Car mains power meter has been out of stock for at least the last year, none of the shops will get it in either.

Theres a couple of forums talking about the power meters.

I ended up buying one from the UK, and am using a UK/OZ adaptor on each end. Set me back about $50 (I already had the adaptors). Works well, but is a bit unweildy. You need plenty of room around the socket you're plugging it into (or an extension cord).
