Just noticed how slow my pc is when I try to do lots of things at the same time, like folding, processing photos in DxO Optics Pro.. explorer is lagging and stuff.. so I might just toss my E6600 in a new box, and get a G0 Q6600 to replace it
... I think I'm having luxury-problems

I built an X2 box for $180 because I had components laying around; ps, case, hd. Unbuntu cinched the deal, no $$ on OS, very nice.
Hope you run Ubuntu as well.

I'm running debian on my servers
I actually have an E2140 at home unused, might just get a gig stick of ram for it and reuse one of my old harddrives.. gotta get a mobo tho, what mobo could I get that I'm pretty much garantueed has support for the E2140 without bios flashing?

Well I would think the P35/G35 boards would be more stabil if you plan to OC. They only do 266 and 333 FSBs at stock settings, not sure what they would say about an E2140.
I can give you a promo code if you would like an Abit Quad GT for $99 after $40 rebate. Latter day P965 board.

I decided no quads until the Penryn 4nm chips come out. They will use less electricity and have less Vdroop because of lower demands. My budget is all used up for the year so as it is.
Is it still correct they will be announced on Nov 11th?

4nm would be awesome.
