Thanks Aristide1!

I'd like to nominate Viking to the club as he is presently winning in his ppd 'war' with Bolek.

All I want is for the team to break the 100,000ppd (we're currently at 98k) so we can lose that grim light brown colour!

Thanks guys.

Yeah, it is fun monitoring my progress and Bolek's. We are really close total and daily numbers.

And Viking got one of the 2539 point WU's.

How do I get one? And how much memory does it use?

Hello,

My brother's iMac got one of those -- the PPD is not as good as the 1760 point units.

From what I can tell, one of the newest servers gives out the 2539 point work units to quads. As mentioned, they are a significant step down in PPD from the 1760 work units.

I think that the biggest difference between my scores and cd8uk's is that he got his quads going before my quad, and he is on a server still getting 1760s served to his machines.

I think if you have a quad core, and were to remove and re-install folding now, you would get these work units too.

You're not "on a server" for more time that it takes to download a WU, every time you request a new one it connects to the same server (or it might be mirrored now, I think they were having load issues a while back), which distributes you out to a fitting server to get a WU from.

That probably explains why only my one PC keeps getting those blasted 1523 points that take much longer to complete. :?

Iganu has a new quad core (maybe 2), and he even built his own Linux kernel were he has tweaked a few settings to try and make it a little faster folding. If he got another quad like he was threatening to, he will probably go over 10K a day, and be sitting atop the team summary for awhile.
