How do you like the Paxmate? Annoying to cut, install, does it have the desired effect?
And I'm going to steal that idea of putting the cables under the sound absorbing material for long lasting builds, why didn't i think of that?
It’s very easy to cut and install, but has no effect for acoustic damping… ZERO! NADA! VOID! Just looks good and that’s it all that it can do… I didn’t know that before i bought it but I was too lazy to removing it (I have AcoustiPack Deluxe already and when I have time I will try to remove the PaxMate witch is harder to remove than install)
I didn’t stick the PaxMate over the wires! It’s sticked just on the mobotray and on the lateral panels of the case. Anytime I can use any cable I want. None isn't fixed irremediably. I put all the wires between the mobotray and the right panel of the case. I just cut a rectangular hole in the mobotray too guide the wires though it and after that I applied the material)
You might want to change the title.. I expected to see a rig. This is not a rig. This is eye candy!!
Great wire management. Perhaps best I've seen .. ever?? Did you fanswap the PSU or is it silent as it is? Might be worth it. And did the PaxMate come precut for the case or just as bulk sheets?
PaxMate don’t come precut for the case. Has come as bulk sheets.
The PSU is in warranty period and I can’t swap the fan yet because I may loose that warranty… After the warranty expire I will probably change the fan with Noctua NF-P12.
I’ll make new pics when my 8800GT/GTS (G92) will come
The best fan of the bunch was the Noctua,
But I bet those noctuas might howl...
which overcame our skepticism and lived up to
its hype by producing more airflow at lower speeds.
Its airflow-to-noise ratio is its best feature, which
gives it enough of an edge to make up for its slightly
rougher noise character.
The Noctua has seen recommendations around the web,
and we have no qualms about adding our own to the list.
