I just went to check on my folding stats, and at least one of Stanfords servers is having problems crediting work
.Anyway, I noticed a status update at the top of the Extreme Overclocker's stats page.
They bought a new high end server to process the stats faster, but it was way to loud even in a closet, and was also getting the closet too hot. They are now considering building up their own server.
I wrote the editor there, and asked him a few basic questions about the requirements for their server, but also told him that others on this site have TONS of expertise making machines quieter and cooler.
I regularly watch our folding stats at their site, so I hope that we can help them out. I also posted this with hopes of it being sort of a welcome if some of their folks do come here to ask about quieting their system
