One Megapoint!

Post by sbabb » Fri Oct 03, 2003 7:42 pm

Congratulations to all SPCR Folders!

I don't know if we beat Team Mac OS X to it, but we're ahead of them now. Up one more notch for SPCR F@H to the 29th spot. We're 40000 points behind the #28 team.

NEXT! 8)

Well done to all - we've come a long way baby since those early days.

Methinks we probably crossed the line in the same 1 hour 'stats windows' as MacOS, but behind them: as I write Arachnid has
MacOS 1,000,868
SPCR 1,000,821
By 07:00 GMT we were ahead of them at Stanford, and the Extreme stats show us both still under the line.

Now we need to push on to the 2nd million.

Now now, remember that 1 megapoint is actually 1028000 points.

1028000?

Call me stupid but I don't get it. Maybe you mean 1048576? (1024*1024, 2^20)

Yeah, that one. Something slightly more than 1 million.

Sorry for the confusion. I had been looking at quiet disk drives where mega = 1000 * 1000.

I caused the confusion, I should be sorry.
And I'm a math wiz. Duh!
