Another test, not exactly as listed, my own home computing exceeds it anyway. I added it to the northbridge, and will do so for the custom vid card cooler. I inadvertantly kept the benchmark for prime rather than the 2 hours, but prime is cooler than vid encoding anyway. the vid encode was 5 hours, unique filter, pixel for pixel, less than 1.5 minutes of 10mbit mpeg2. (it is terrible, but that is the way my machine is). The top temp was 15F less , idle temps no different. anyway, below is after the northbridge got the diamnd stuff.
specs
3.4 ghz HT
3gb dual channel ram ddr 400

idle is the same, full temp the same as earlier test. The volts dropped .1 for cpu, no discharge or abnormal to be noticed. I do not know if it will stay there, I usually get this after removing and putting back the northbridge..
I also took a look at consistency after these few days, and it is already chalkier than went in. Upon touching it was rubbery and came off cpu. Seems familiar to oem...I like better than thermalright and ceramique arctic however, that is why I chose to put it on northbridge sink. I do have two drives, and 2 roms, and the second largest card for agp ever made, so to see it hang onto below 114F is very very good (like oem). I hope this is enough for the test. I do say it is much cooler, but I needed thicker paste as my cpu has an oem dimple from another heatsink, now mated to an xp90. either way, it does its job, I continue to use it. thanks for sample.

Recieved my syringe of thermal paste in the mail after work yesterday.

I am updating all forum results to date for the website, 10 forums 336 user tests. This chart is a general overview of IC Diamond results to date.
As the sample size has grown larger and as our confidence level has grown we will now have enough test results to add some some more formal statistical data- bell curve and some other stuff. Filter out some of the outliers although it does not change the numbers much it makes for a cleaner presentation.

Arctic Ceramique - 70, 70, 65, 65
Diamond 7 - 71, 71, 66, 66
I don't have ambient temps ... motherboard sensor's report of "System temp" is obviously not right.
Note: The Ceramique has been installed for a while now, so it might have the benefit of settle-in time.
I tried two installations of the Diamond 7. First time the temp was 70, 70, 65, 65 after a few minutes; so I decided to try a second time. I noticed that the paste is a lot thicker than Ceramique/Noctua NHT1/TX-2/MX-2. The Diamond 7 doesn't seem to spread to cover the entire IHS when I apply it using the dollop method, when I use the same amount of paste as Ceramique.
For the second time, I (re)-lapped both my heatsink base and CPU-IHS. I will test it one more time after 48 hours to see if temperatures improve.
edit: Tested after 48 hours, no change in temps.

Troubleshooting Point- Probably the most recommended solution by experienced forum members in all forums to a heat sink or thermal performance problem is to check the contact and lap the sink or to increase heat sink pressure.
We tested this in 5 different forums using a plastic film that measures both contact and pressure. The results aligned fairly well with with the forum thermal results where approx 80% see a result out of the gate and of the approx 20% who did not, approx 80% (Alfrado Defrado's 80/20 rule?) of those were resolved to have either inadequate Pressure and/or contact or some combination of the two. Under 50lbs pressure thermal results between compounds become kind of homogenized with only slight or no differences noted.

Idle was booting up an letting the system sit for about 30 mins to 1 hr (no applications running)
Load was running Prime95 for 2hrs.
I read the thermostat in my house to get the ambient temperature (not sure if that's what you were looking for). Ambient temperature was 80F each time I read the temperatures

I finally have the time to test this paste, and I'll start when my new CPU heatsink arrives in a couple of days. It'll probably be a while before I can post any test data; I'm comparing IC7 to Arctic Silver 5, which has that recommended 200 hour break-in period before it's fully ready. Hopefully everything will be done before next month. GPU results are finished, but I'll wait until everything is done before I post them.

Summary of results so far, they generally smooth out when the sample size hits around 30
Please let me know if I have to make any corrections I have been known to make errors in math or also in my educated guesses - these are your numbers.
I have never deleted a number pro or con in the raw data presentations -stock pastes will often show 10 to 15 C differences so the message there is to use anything but a stock compound.
The outliers while some alone seem large but in the larger average account for only 1/300th + of the calculation, so only affect the overall average hundredth of a degree or so and they exist in both the plus and minus columns so tend to get canceled out. In small comparisons as we have here we have one that is -30C* which skew the numbers 1-2degrees. when we are around 50 sample test results the added effect of -30C would affect the final average by maybe a couple of 10th's of a degree.
At this point I leave it up to the forum here whether to include it or not after all it is your data. Any discussion/vote here would be helpful

Thanks to Innovative Cooling for the sample. Application was easy...I read some people saying it was too thick, but I just put it in my pocket to warm it up for about 15 mins before applying and it was fine.

Load Test done after 4 hours crunching World Community Grid (all cores running same type work units). Temps read with Core Temp.

Idle: 37C 36C 35C 37C
Load: 56C 55C 54C 56C
After (ICD7)
Idle: 39C 38C 36C 38.5C
Load: 58C 57C 56C 57.5C

gilmore- The cure thing I have not worked out. I test on a synthetic die and run 60 to 90 PSI and the cure is approximately 2 hrs with maybe another 1/2C overnight.
It might be that you are on the recommended borderline of 50 lbs so it may have taken longer to see results, I have had people report improvements up to a week.
With my test set up I just do not see it. Likewise if the contact pressure is low enough, say in the area of 30-40 PSI might be you would never see an improvement.
IC Diamond has had some good runs against MX-2 which is in the more competitive category of compounds. Below I have broken out the user results from 7 different forums

These are prelimary results. Getting more data will take a while as the computer got some bad memory and now I have to reinstall windows, but am now getting no video... lol

Arctic Silver 5 vs ICD
I let my brother use the ICD sample I received and he is running a intel stock cooler and his temperature maxed out at 45 degrees celsius with Arctic Silver 5 and now it maxes out at 42 degrees celsius.
ICD = 42 C
AC5 = 45 C.
He is running an intel e6600 (stock clocked)
