I'm desperately looking for the best noise solution for a small microATX case i'm using...
Maximum height is 46mm for HS+Fan, so I'm really lost, and don't know what to do... any ideas?
I know of Cooljag JAC313C and Titan CU4TB, both of them looking to specs seem to be really noisy... any ideas or recommendation?
Right now, cpu is a duron 1'3Ghz but maybe I'll place a Thoroughbred in the near future.
Thanks.
Bleed

any pics or diagrams of the case? u might be able to get away with one of those heatsinks that u mentioned and then ducting the heatsink to utilise some airflow from another fan in your case http://www.below-0.net/belowzero.asp?co ... =453054340 maybe the cooljag JACA series of heatsinks be more to your needs, they have small blowers mounted onto them and they should be easier to silence then using a conventional axial flow fan
thermaltake has a heatsink designed for server use:

these are pretty low profile, you might want to try swapping out the fan though

Maybe these are interesting for you:

There are 2 new Arctic Cooling Cooler
Slim Silent Pro & Slim Silent Pro TC
Might not be the *optimal* choice for a dead silent system, but I guess these might be a real good deal for use in such size-limited areas.

Thermalright's SK-6 is only 33mm tall w/o fan -- maybe a 60x15mm profile fan would fit.
There's also coolers like http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/vancc1ucool.html

1U rack mount case solutions. Other makers have them too.
