i got wd 120gb 8mb special edition drive too. it is a loud drive with an annoying whine. hopefully i can bring you guys a good news!

In the U.S., googlegear has got the smart drive 2002 for cheaper ($68.99)than silicon acoustics:

After about two weeks of use, I gotta say I am really impressed with the Smart Drive's performance silencing my old whiny drive.

oh well... mine's coming tomorrow. google gear has it back ordered now though. i just talked with them on the phone. i'll buy another one if i like it. thanks for the link!

whoa.. thanks for the link sgtpokey. if i remember correctly, this price is only a little bit more expensive than the scratch and dent one siliconacoustics had for sale.
