Wow...didn't expect replies that fast
Ciao...piacere di conoscerti
and no, I have yet to see this "SPCR Recommended list" (could u link it?)...but I did based my choices on this
My current rig is configured as follows:
PSU: LC-POWER SILENT 550W
CASE: Thermaltake Lanbox Lite
CPU: AMD Phenom II 720BE (*1)
CPU HS: Thermaltake MaxOrb EX
GPU: Gainward [email protected]
+ A.C. Acc. S1 Rev.2 (*2)
HDD01: Seagate 80GB 7200rpm
HDD02: Maxtor 500GB 7200rpm
RAM: 2x2GB OCZ Reaper [email protected]
MOBO: GIGABYTE AM2+ MA78GM-S2H v.1.1
OS:WIN 7 H.P. (64 bit)
Monitor: Acer 17" 1280X1024 (*3)
*1 At the moment default frequency, but I think I will speed it up to at least 3.2GHz soon, I have already mirror lapped it just to be sure (MX3 TC applied)
*2 I will upgrade to a 40nm GPU (probably ATI 5850 or 5830) maybe this year already...
*3 I will upgrade to a 1680x1024 monitor soon...
I use it pretty much for gaming and net browsing...
On with the PSUs prices:
Cooler Master Silent Pro M700
at 99€ seems ok but 700W is still too much don't you think? M850...off budget and too much power
Sea Sonic S12D-750
at 128€ it's still too powerfull for my needs plus it's nonmodular...
Enermax Liberty 620 looks solid...good pricing and it's modular ( the 500W won't do)
Silverstone DA750...looks ok but still off budget...
Ciao...the BeQuiet E7 580 looks great...modular and very price competitive, found it at 89,50€ on an on-line shop. BeQuie states a "high energy efficiency of up to 88%
...not bad, any reviews on this one?
About BeQuiet I know their fans are one of the best...the one one used by this PSU looks like the 120mm Be Quiet! Silent Wings USC series.
well glad to here that mate...you must be one of the lucky ones. It's good to know that this "noisy enermax fan phenomena" is pretty much RANDOM...if this may be the case , I'm not willing to bet my 100 cash on this "roulette"
