That's NOTHIN"
Hello:
A 683 (did you swap digits around?) on my Athlon 700 Classic is going to take ~148 hours! That's 60 points in over 6 days -- less than 10 points/day...
To add to that, I tried bumping my oc on my fast machine up by 26mHz and a 60 pointer got corrupted at 98%! THEN, the next day, my cat barfed on the UPS, which shorted it out and I lost about 12 hours there...sheesh!

So what's this? The latest excuses on why the homework hasn't been done? I remember even in my day "The dog ate it" didn't really work.. I think I'll try the cat barfing on the UPS next..NeilBlanchard wrote:..To add to that, I tried bumping my oc on my fast machine up by 26mHz and a 60 pointer got corrupted at 98%! a 683 on my fast machine = 49.5 hours! :-(
Hello:
Well, they have not *all* been finished -- my fast machine is churning through one, and it will take almost 50 hours! At that rate, it should be worth at least 100 points; rather than the 60 that it is. Thankfully, my slow machine will FINALLY be done with a 683 sometime tomorrow morning -- AFTER SIX AND HALF DAYS, so I won't have another 0 point day tomorrow...
I gotta get me another fast machine...maybe there is an Athlon 64 in my future?

So I've just switched from the Stanford GUI client to Electron Microscope and if I'm reading it right, the p683 W/U that I've been grinding through will only be worth 60 points when it finishes tomorrow?
Looks like your lead is safe for now, DryFire!
We seem to finish W/Us at about the same rate, but yours are worth more than mine.
