For what it's worth, PCCG also has the Scythe S-FLEX 92mm Fan 2000RPM SFF92C. There is also the Scythe 92mm Gentle Typhoon Fan 1700RPM.

For comparison, the Noctua fan is 1600rpm at 12V, and the Nexus is 1,500rpm at 12V.

I'd suspect you might want to get the two Scythe fans down to 7V or even 5V for low noise.

Thanks JamieG but the Scythe S-Flex 92mms are a bit too expensive, unless of course you think it's worth it? They claim to have a 150,000 hour lifetime which equates to just over 17 years!

I think I'll either have to go with the some Nexus 92mms fan ordered from overseas or buy some Noctuas within Aus.

Gotta love C-Tick. They're looking out for us, unlike in a lot of "less regulated" countries.

You have to wonder why there aren't more Australian PC parts manufacturers out there. We have the capability here. They just have to design (approved for Australian conditions) products here and get it manufacturerd in China. I know of several small companies who do this in other industries. I don't see why we can't do it for PSUs, something which must pass so many regulatory Oz standards. Power Shield is an Australian owned and run UPS company. They make a very good product for a fraction of the cost of the bigger brand imports (and better quality in many respects than the latter IMO). So it can be done.

Looks like this thread has not been updated in awhile. The Kool Room (http://www.thekoolroom.com/) sell alot of quiet-friendly gear, including the Super Flower Golden Silent 500w for a very competitive price ($155 last time i checked, on par or cheaper than the NA Kingwin equivalent) as well as a range of enthusiast fans (silent wings, GTs, noiseblockers, noctuas etc.) They seem relatively new, but are on the level. I purchased the power supply, no problems at all
