Hi!

I have PCs used to sell PCs years ago and visited this great website a lot of times since my last computer does well on games and 3R... But kills my ears and brain...

Iy's a bit like spending my time with a cheep hair dryer.

Now, after about 4 years the time has come to put it to rest, and that is exactly why I am here, listening to your experiences and opinions. And if it helps sharing mine...

Hi,

So, you will be building a new machine, or making the old one quiet?

Hi,

Okay then -- what is the old machine? And what are you considering for the new one?

I've posted it all on the advice part of the forum... viewtopic.php?p=489591&highlight=#489591

At what I am considering to buy.

For the old one I have a P4 3,06, a Randeon X800 first gen, a cheep case and a cheep PSU. I think I'll change de video card to a passive coold one and the PSU at first. Maybe I'll put some silencing foam stuf within the case to silence it even more.

The big problem is temperature, as it get quite hot here in the summer. We have spent 2 monthes with 35°C + within the house this year...
