If only they could hurry and do a GPU Client console version compatible with the ATI HD2600 chip, I would be in the 200k club in no time

Centurion? You have me mistaken for a member of the Roman army.

(My first recollections were of Honey West, with Ann Francis. She did that Vulcan nerve pinch long before Spock. See IMDB.com.)

I'll stop talking now.

Heh-

well, back again. I finally made our office boxes fold for SPCR, and I hope to be able to maintain them doing so. Also I'm playing with my new Radeon 4850 - but that won't be a regular contributor I think.

NAngney is another client of mine has only one older machine Folding away, which past 100K a long time ago, and may eventually pass 200K!

http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... s=&u=82151

It is a single core Athlon and it had to be rebuilt a few times.

Recently passed 200k.
I just added a new Q9550 and set up VM SMP. So I should be getting at least 2500PPD everyday.

Looks like lplatypus is a relatively new addition to the team, and leaping into 100k already is a great achievement. So welcome, and thanks for the great work!!!!

It's running on the GPU--a GTX580, it will do around 15.5k pts/day if I don't slow down the clock. I'm probably the only one doing that to this card  . I don't know if I can keep it up though since the card is noisy and my system sucks up ~320W when folding. It's not too bad right now since the scanner noise is masking the GPU noise but when I finish in a week or two . . . plus if I'm not careful, I might end up like these guys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QkyfGJgcwQ oi!   .
Oh well, off to shop for a new case.

Hey, great to hear from you! A 580, nice! I was thinking about picking one of those up, but got another 460 instead. I'm currently seeing the 460s running between 100-130W while folding, so two of those seems like better ppd than an 580. But it's good to hear (kind of) that they're kind of loud, I figured as much but some confirmation is nice. What kind of case are you looking for, something that will keep the 580 quiet? I have an ft-02, that might be able to do it. What are you thinking of?
