I was considering the NH-U12P for an AMD system until I was informed by poster lodestar that the mounting system has been changed and no longer enables proper AMD orientation. AMD users can email Noctua for a free optional mounting kit which will allow proper orientation but they must attach JPGs of the HS invoice and an AMD CPU or MB invoice and shipping takes two weeks.

Yes, Noctua introduced the SecuFirm2 NM-A90 mounting kit for AMD on March 31 this year, and it is free on the conditions stated. Web reference is http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=nm_a ... &setlng=en. Normally with Noctua these arrangements are only short-term, so at some stage the retail SE2 products should include both the the NM-A90 and the Intel NM-13. Hopefully Noctua will update the install information on their website to show the NM-A90 mounting arrangement for AMD rather than the previous single orientation scheme.
