Prolimatech fans

Post by cordis » Wed Dec 01, 2010 2:23 pm

So I've noticed these fans popping up at retailers:

prolimatech blue vortex: http://www.svc.com/blue-vortex-14.html

prolimatech red vortex: http://www.svc.com/red-vortex-14.html

They're both 140mm fans, and there are notes that link them to the Armageddon cooler. In fact, the retailer above is selling a package deal with the blue vortex and the armageddon. I picked it up and have it running, seems pretty quiet to me, and the fan works with the armageddon clips, so that's a plus. Now there's also that Enermax thread that seems to have turned into a call for a new roundup, so do we donate for a specific fan or for a roundup? I'm a little confused.

We're confused too. lol!

To be honest, this is a turning into a difficult area because...

1) fans have always been difficult to test
2) we thought we had a test system ready but we still haven't worked out the wrinkles

I would suggest no one donate for fan reviews right now. Those who have -- well, you will see a benefit. Or if you're sore about it, contact me about refunding your donation.

We will make a concerted effort to get the fan testing going again by Jan.

Fair enough, I figured that something was up. Alright then, I'll hold back on donating until I hear from you, just give me the word!

Hey, since the prolimatech vortex fans got covered in the genesis review, I guess I'm good. Thanks for the free review! ;)
