Overclocking i5 750 with P7P55D-E LX, please help

Post by RaptorZX3 » Thu Feb 17, 2011 11:58 pm

Ok a lot of peoples told me i could easily overclock my Core i5 750 up to 3.5Ghz+, but i don't have a clue how to fine-tune the overclocking. The only thing i did is use the XMP profile on my RAM, and change CPU Multiplier from 16x (stock) to 17x, which only add a few hundreds Mhz...

Anyone could help me overclock it a bit further?

Normally temperatures are around 36-38 Celcius on my CPU when idle (Windows stuff, using Firefox...). Think my PSU could handle a big CPU overclock?

for specs, check my signature.

Thanks for helping me.

Someone told me that it's safe to increase the Core Multiplier only, is that true? 16x is the stock speed, and the maximum on my board is 22x.
