New Puget Serenity inspired build

I'm thinking of buying the following:

2600K
p8p67 pro
2x4gb kingston valueram
Gigabyte hd5750 passive
2 x WD20EARS for data and backup
160GB Intel 320 SSD
p183 v3 with scythe slipstreams 800rpm
antec cp850 psu
gelid tranquillo heatsink with scythe PWM
Windows 7 pro
some asus dvd burner

Most of the time it will be used for Office/mail stuff but I will also use it as a DAW, some adobe progs (ps and flash) and some gaming. I just want a very snappy and reliable computer. Does it seem like a balanced build for that purpose? The reason I'm going with the 2600K is that it should be much better for DAWs.

I'm not sure if there are some more reliable hds than the WD drives?

Also, am I right the 5750 is the fastest passive video card?

gigabyte has a HD5770 that's passively cooled, this is what i was going to get in my build, but a few people recommended to get a very low rpm fan on it.

5770 is a pretty good card, I used to have one. You could also think about a 6850 with an aftermarket cooler such as GeLid Icy Vision.

The 6850 is about 25-30% faster in DX10 games and 50% faster in DX11 games than a 5770, while using only 10W more at full load. It's idle power consumption is very reasonable.

It really boils down to what resolution you are gaming at. At 1920x1080 or higher, you're going to want to beef up the card a little. At lower resolutions, the 5770 would probably be just fine. Some cards are even undervoltable.

IIRC the 6850 draws actually around 30W more at full load, not just 10W.

It's idle power consumption is very reasonable.

Idle power draw is about quite the same of the 5770 (around 18W).

IMHO there could also be no need to void the warranty of a HD6850 videocard, fitting an AC S1 Rev. 2: just for example, an MSI Cyclone PE usually tops at about 16/17dB, which you might try to furtherly reduce through a custom fan curve (using Afterburner/Rivatuner).

There's also some HD6870 videocard very quiet, as the MSI R6870 Twin Frozr II OC: it's noticeably more expensive than an oc'ed HD6850 (here about 50-60 euros more), but it gives you much more horsepower than any 6850/5770.
