Hi,

It seems the Corsair HX650 isn't talked about much over here. Is it because it's so noisy no one cares about it?
How quiet/noisy is it compared to the HX520/620?

I doubt it's noisy, but it's one of the more expensive PSU's in a very crowded market.

Can't comment on how it actually sounds, since I don't have one.

It's what I'll get if/when I RMA my HX520. Trying to decide if it's worth the bother considering shipping is 30 €.

The HX-650 is, judging from the people I have seen buying it at my local hardware dealers, a mainstream gamers PSU. So while like any PSU with a 120mm fan it is going to be reasonably quiet at low loads I would not classify it as a quiet PSU. For what it costs here in the UK, for a bit more you could get the Seasonic X-560 which I would classify as a quiet PSU.

Well, after using the HX650 for a few weeks now I can safely say that it is indeed [subjectively] louder than the HX520. Not by a large margin mind you, but still louder.
