Overclocking low profile E4400?

Post by dougw03 » Mon Jun 27, 2011 10:58 am

Hello,

I'm trying to throw together a relatively inexpensive HTPC for my parents. I have an E4400 C2D LGA 775 which will be in a smaller case (haven't decided yet but will be half height PCI) and need something that can overclock a little bit while keeping noise to a minimum. The reason I need to OC is because the E4400 can't quite handle BD playback while recording. Any suggestions? I wanted to do the Hyper 212+ but it won't fit in a smaller case. Thanks

Scythe Shuriken, Big Shuriken comes to my mind for low-profile situation. That said, you've to measure height tolerance of your case first. I bet you don't want to purchase something that won't fit your case.
